From our own ten-acre vineyards located south of the city, Cedar Ridge combines fresh grapes and juices from more commonly known viticultural areas with estate-grown grapes to produce outstanding wines and fruit-based spirits.

Summer Vineyard Party, June 28 (Canceled due to Flooding)

Clearheart Vodka Crawl, August 8
Gather a group of friends to meet at this third annual event, with Cedar Ridge partnering with the Cedar Rapids Downtown District. Evening hours, various downtown Cedar Rapids establishments.

Harvest Celebration, August 23
Stomp some grapes, walk among the fruit-laden vines and enjoy this late summer festivity. From noon to 7 p.m., Swisher, Iowa, vineyards off Highway 965.

Awards!

Cedar Ridge Lemoncella Wins International Award!
The San Francisco World Spirits Competition awarded our Lemoncella an International Silver Medal within the Cordials & Liqueurs category. This means we likely defeated many Italian competitors in what has traditionally been their category. To the best of our knowledge, Cedar Ridge makes the only domestic lemoncella that is free of any artificial flavors or colors.

New Releases - Winery

Geisenheim (2007 vintage) – This semi-sweet white wine has been so popular we’ve had trouble keeping it stocked. We just released 225 cases from the 2007 fruit, so it is back on the shelves at least through this summer. This may be our best effort yet – exhibiting a combination of the grapefruitiness that was so prevalent in our 2006 Geisenheim with that peppery lime, margarita profile.

New Releases - Distillery

Clearheart Rum – Another Iowa first, this is a light rum in its purest form. Clearheart Rum is to most rums as a good 100% blue agave plata is to most tequilas. We believe it is best served as a sipping rum. We have been putting away many barrels of this same rum for a future release of dark rum. (more)

Cedar Ridge Lamponcella – “Lampone” is Italian for raspberry and Lamponcella is the raspberry companion to our very popular Lemoncella. Try it straight up, or mix 50/50 with Clearheart Vodka to make a beautiful, tasty raspberry martini, or drizzled over cheesecake or ice cream for a delicious dessert. (more)

ClearHeart Spirits and Cedar Ridge Distillery Liquers
The Cedar Ridge Distillery is the first legal still to operate in Iowa since prohibition and we take that responsibility seriously by providing the highest quality ClearHeart Vodka™ and spirits. You can find our spirits in liquor stores around the state.
